Falling Out of LOVE

I've lusted after the Cartier LOVE bracelet ever since I first heard of it five years ago.  I envisioned receiving it as a gift from a loved one and never, ever removing it.  I pinned photos of it and stalked new versions on the Cartier website, but didn't bother to check it out in person until Monday.

When I finally popped in to Cartier and tried on my coveted LOVE bracelet it was a huge disappointment.  The rose gold looked brassy and the bracelet was clunky and industrial-looking on my wrist.  The symbol of love I'd envisioned was anything but lovely.

On the bright side, the LOVE bracelet has a substantial price tag, so that's one big purchase someone in my life won't be making!
