Gold Shoes at Work, Yes or No?

People who work with me know I like to wear things that get people's attention... in an appropriate way. I'm known for my small arsenal of brightly colored cable-knit sweaters and cardigans, which, if they don't brighten someone's day, they certainly wake everyone up. Today I decided to try a different approach. I wore all black, but sported what my sister affectionately refers to as my "Elvis shoes." They are gold loafers (see below). I'm not sure if they were a bit much, or the pick-me-up needed on a long, dark, cold winter's day. The shot is not the best, as I took it covertly with my blackberry in my cubicle.
